WASHINGTON - Congressman Jim Costa (CA-21) released the following statement after Jia Bei Zhu, the owner of Universal Meditech bio-lab was arrested by federal authorities. 

“The arrest of Jia Bei Zhu is a step in the right direction to hold him and those behind the illegal Reedley lab accountable. I brought federal agencies in and pushed for investigations, which resulted in this arrest. I am hopeful that further investigations will fully unravel the details and purpose of the lab in Reedley."

WASHINGTON – On the ninth annual National Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Day, U.S. Representatives Jim Costa (CA-21), David Valadao (CA-22), John Larson (CT-01), Brian Fitzpatrick (PA-01), and Paul Tonko (NY-20) introduced a bipartisan resolution designating October 8, 2023, as "National Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Day".
