Each year, the United States Congress writes the annual federal budget, which provides the federal government with the funding it needs to operate and serve the American people. The budget funds numerous initiatives, including government operations, education, research, national defense, infrastructure, and other critical areas.

This form is for two types of requests:

Programmatic requests: Members may request specific funding levels for agencies and programs funded in the twelve appropriations bills.
Language requests: Members may request bill language or report language directing or encouraging specific actions by federal agencies.

FY27 appropriations request guidance is now available from the House Appropriations Committee. Please refer to the FY27 guidance for all submissions.
