Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act
The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, also known as the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, is a once-in-a-generation investment to rebuild our nation's water, road, transit, and broadband systems, grow our economy, and create good-paying jobs.
For decades, infrastructure in California has suffered from a lack of investment. The American Society of Civil Engineers rated California a C on its infrastructure report card. This legislation invests $1 trillion to fix our nation's infrastructure while creating over 2 million jobs over the next decade. President Biden signed this bill into law on November 15, 2021.
It is the largest U.S. infrastructure investment since the Eisenhower administration created the Interstate Highway System in the 1950s. These historical investments mark a new beginning for our nation. We now have the resources to rebuild our nation's crumbling infrastructure, create good-paying jobs, and enhance our global competitiveness, for decades.
