FRESNO, CA- Today, Congressman Jim Costa (D-Fresno) and Congressman Dennis Cardoza (D-Merced) sent a letter to Department of the Interior Secretary, Ken Salazar, demanding that the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation announce irrigation water supply allocations for the 2010 irrigation season as soon as possible, preferably by Monday, February 22, 2010.
"Our Valley's livestock and poultry producers account for a large portion of the Valley's economy," Costa said.
"Fighting for water for our Valley and for our economy are the most important issues for me," Costa said.
