Fresno, Calif. - Fresno Chaffee Zoo partnered with Fresno Housing for the first-ever "We Care Wednesdays." Together, the organizations will give away 8,000 tickets to under-resourced children and families in rural communities throughout Fresno County.

On Thursday, May 26, the Zoo held a press conference to announce We Care Wednesdays. In attendance were officials from the greater Fresno area and Congressman, Jim Costa.

WASHINGTON – A group of 75 lawmakers—including 65 House members led by Representatives Jim Costa, Seth Moulton, and Suzan DelBene, and 10 Senators led by Senator Jon Ossoff—are urging Congressional appropriators to allocate $3.5 billion for high-speed rail corridor development in the FY2023 budget.

Despite the various economic, environmental, and safety benefits offered by high-speed rail, the U.S. has not prioritized a serious investment in high speed rail.
