WASHINGTON, D.C. – Kern County was awarded a $100,000 grant for a solar installation training program for adult farm workers. The funds were awarded by the US Department of Labor through the Green Capacity Building Grant program. "Federal grants to help our Valley's work force obtain new skills are vital in a tough economy," Costa said.
