Four brand new YARTS buses are now available, extending the Highway 41 corridor.

"There was absolutely no way, that we could pass up the opportunity to ensure that our residents here in Fresno, as well as those passing through our airport, and visiting would not have the ability to access the gem that we have in Yosemite," said Fresno Mayor Jerry Dyer.

Millions in federal funding is coming to the Central Valley to purchase electric school buses.

Congressman Jim Costa (D-Fresno) announced $13 million in federal funding to purchase new electric for school districts across the Central Valley.

Fresno Unified and Selma Unified will receive a combined $8 million in federal funding. The funding comes through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, which Costa voted to pass through Congress.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A new collaboration is expanding access to free contraceptive healthcare in Fresno County.

It's also part of a larger effort to address the shortage of healthcare workers in the Valley and state.

The state says 2.6 million women in California live in what the state calls contraceptive deserts, meaning they don't have an easily reachable health center where they can get those services.
