Community Project Funding Requests - Fiscal Year 2024
Under guidelines issued by the Appropriations Committee, each Representative may request funds for up to 15 projects in their community for Fiscal Year 2024. Projects are restricted to a limited number of federal funding streams, and only state and local governments and eligible non-profit entities are permitted to receive funding. Congressman Jim Costa has submitted funding requests for important community projects in California's 21st Congressional District to the House Appropriations Committee.
In compliance with House Rules and Committee requirements, Congressman Costa has certified that he and his immediate family have no financial interest in any of the projects that he has requested. A request submitted by Congressman Costa to the Committee does NOT guarantee the project will be funded. Project Name: Alta Irrigation District – Upper Kings Groundwater Resiliency project

Summary: The Alta Irrigation District, Consolidated Irrigation District and Fresno Irrigation District initiated the Upper Kings River Community and Climate Water Resiliency Program. The three Upper Kings River irrigation districts are the primary surface water suppliers within the Central Kings, Kings River East, and North Kings Groundwater Sustainability Agencies, covering over 650,000 acres.
