Rep. Jim Costa Statement on Ceasefire Agreement

FRESNO, Calif. - Congressman Jim Costa, a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, released the following statement on the recent ceasefire agreement. 

“I am encouraged by the announcement of a potential agreement to end the conflict in Gaza. Critically, it is imperative that the hostages be returned after being held captive by Hamas for two long years. This development, along with the provision of more humanitarian aid to civilians in Gaza, are critical steps forward for peace, stability, and security for the Israeli and Palestinian people," said Congressman Costa. 
 

As a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, I will continue to monitor the progress of each “phase” of this agreement. I encourage all parties to remain committed to its implementation.”
