Costa Statement on Supreme Court’s Affirmative Action Ruling

FRESNO, Calif. - Congressman Jim Costa (CA-21) released the following statement on the Supreme Court’s ruling on Affirmative Action.

“For over forty years, affirmative action has increased educational opportunities for qualified-minority Americans left behind. Today’s ruling by the Supreme Court sets us back decades by restricting equal access and opportunities to higher education. This decision limits the rich diversity that occurs when the melting pot of America’s ethnic communities are educated together in our Colleges and Universities.” said Costa.
