Costa Statement on Sham GOP Impeachment of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas

WASHINGTON - Congressman Jim Costa (CA-21) released the following statement after House Republicans voted to impeach Alejandro Mayorkas, Secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. 

“House Republicans are wasting time on baseless impeachments instead of working with Democrats to fix our broken immigration system. We have put forth a legislative solution to address the challenges at the border, but they refuse to bring it forth for a vote. This is nothing more than a political stunt to distract us from addressing the issues at hand.” said Congressman Jim Costa (CA-21).
