Congressman Jim Costa Responds to Recent Attacks in the Middle East

WASHINGTON - Congressman Jim Costa (CA-21), a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, released the following statement in response to the recent Israeli strike on Iran. 

“Israel has the right to defend itself. Its enemies in the region have, at various times, attempted to eliminate Israel’s right to exist, sadly. It is my view that the United States must demonstrate leadership with Israel and our allies in the region to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons,” said Congressman Jim Costa.

“As a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, I am closely monitoring the situation. We must come together with a bipartisan effort to prevent an all-out war from taking place in the Middle East.”
