Rep. Costa Statement on Tonight’s Presidential Address

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Jim Costa (D-Fresno) released the following statement regarding President Obama's televised address on the status of the war in Afghanistan.

"Our brave men and women in uniform have made good progress in our effort to disrupt, dismantle, and defeat al Qaeda in Afghanistan and the Middle East. After nearly ten years of war and the death of Osama bin Laden, I applaud President Obama's decision to begin a responsible withdrawal of our troops from Afghanistan. I look forward to the day when all our servicemembers serving in harm's way are reunited with their families."
