Rep. Costa Statement on Death of Steve Hall

WASHINGTON,D.C. –Following the death of former Association of California Water AgenciesExecutive Director Steve Hall, Congressman Jim Costa (D-Fresno) made thefollowing statement.

"SteveHall was one of California's true leaders on water issues. Even moreimportantly, he cared deeply about his family, friends and the people ofCalifornia. For all of us who knew him, he was a role model for how weshould live, as Steve lived his life to the fullest.

"Foryears, I had the good fortune of working with him in Sacramento, and morerecently in Washington, DC, to solve water problems on behalf of the people ofCalifornia. I can say without reservation Steve was listened to andrespected by all of the policy makers he interacted with. I will misshim, but will always remember him fondly.

"Hiscourageous battle with ALS was fought with the same passion and tenacity as everylegislative pursuit we endeavored. Steve, our thoughts and prayers arewith you and your family."
