CongressmanJim Costa, D- Fresno, will speak on the House floor this afternoon between 4:30p.m. and 4:45 p.m. regarding HR 109.

HR109 is a resolution recognizing the historical significance of the Pinedale AssemblyCenter in Fresno Countywhere Japanese Americans were interned during World War II.

Groundbreakingon Pinedale Memorial will take place on February 19. The Memorial willhonor the nearly 5,000 Japanese Americans who reported to the Pinedale AssemblyCenter following theExecutive Order signed by President Franklin D. Roosevelt authorizing theforced internment of Japanese Americans.
