Costa Congratulates DOT Secretary Buttigieg, Highlights Need for Infrastructure Investment for the Valley

(WASHINGTON) – Congressman Jim Costa (CA-16) released the following statement after Pete Buttigieg was confirmed as the Secretary of Transportation:

"We can no longer live off our grandparents' investments. We must invest in clean, sustainable infrastructure to advance our transportation systems and recover from this devasting pandemic.I look forward to working with Secretary Buttigieg, and I am hopeful that he will prioritize investment in clean transportation technologies like High-Speed Rail."
