100 Best Communities for Young People
Fresno, CA - Today, Congressman Jim Costa (CA-20) announcedhis support for the national program aimed at identifying the "100 BestCommunities for Young People." Citiesand towns have the chance to compete for the title based on the opportunitiesand experiences they offer their youth.
"In our country there are numerous diverse communities thatprovide our youth with unique experiences and the recognition provided by thisprogram allows these communities to broaden their outreach efforts,"Congressman Costa stated.
"100 Best Communities for Young People" was initiated by America'sPromise Alliance, Capital One and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. This competition will bring together theresources of the private and public sectors to identify communities thatdeliver healthy, safe and caring environments. The recognition is valuable because the environments created by thesecommunities foster effective education and help young people become productivecitizens.
