FRESNO, Calif. - Today, Congressman Jim Costa (CA-21) announced the passage of Fiscal Year 2026 Transportation, Housing and Urban Development (THUD) funding legislation, which includes nine Community Project Funding awards totaling more than $11.2 million, and passage of the Interior and Environment (I&E) funding legislation which includes two Community Project Funding awards totaling over $2 million for water projects for the San Joaquin Valley.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – This month Representative Jim Costa (CA-21) has secured $6.5 million in federal funding for four community projects included in the fiscal year 2026 agriculture funding package. These investments will strengthen key infrastructure and public safety initiatives across the Central Valley, helping to improve the quality of life for constituents in California’s 21st Congressional District.
The four community project funding requests that Rep. Costa secured are as follows:

WASHINGTON - Congressman Jim Costa (CA-21) voted to pass the HALT Fentanyl Act, bipartisan legislation that provides law enforcement and public health agencies with stronger tools to crack down on the illegal trafficking of fentanyl and save lives. The vote comes as fentanyl-related overdoses remain the leading cause of death for young adults across the country, especially in Fresno County and the San Joaquin Valley.
