Costa Announces Office Changes to Prevent to Prevent Spread COVID-19

March 17, 2020

FRESNO – In accordance with CDC guidelines to help limit the exposure and spread of COVID-19, Congressman Jim Costa (CA-16) announced changes to office operations in both his Washington, D.C and California offices:

"These are trying times for our nation and we must do what we can to ensure the health and safety of our loved ones and families," said Costa. "Effective immediately, my staff will telework to minimize exposure to COVID-19. What hasn't changed is that my constituents remain my top priority. Staff are taking calls and responding to emails. My office is a resource for anyone who needs help."

Contact numbers for all offices remain operation and staff will be available to help the public during normal business hours as usual.

We encourage everyone to take the necessary steps to keep themselves healthy. It's on all of us to Flatten the Curve.

No matter your age and no matter how healthy you feel, you should do the following:

  • If you can, stay home. Practice social distancing.
  • Wash your hands regularly. Avoid touching your face.
  • Clean frequently touched surfaces.

Here is what CDC and California Department of Health recommend you can do to protect yourself and your family.
