Congressman Jim Costa

Representing the 16th District of California

Investing in Our Valley

Returning our fair share of federal tax dollars back to the district is an important part of serving the Valley. Investments in education, infrastructure, and transportation grow the Valley’s economy over the short and long-term.

Over the years, I have worked to secure funding for dams, pipelines, pumping stations, and other projects to bring more water to our region. In 2008, I secured funding to expand the Kings County Narcotic and Gang Task Force. These funds made it possible for the Taskforce to take down the organizational structure of the violent Nuestra Familia gang who had taken hold in our community. The raid, which resulted in over 30 arrests, was one of the largest in the Valley’s history.  For more, click here

These are only a few examples of the funding I have secured to make our Valley a better place to live. Below you can find a list of the projects I have requested this year on behalf of local residents and communities.
